The upgrade

A $900K Transformation

In early 2026, Merri-bek City Council completed a major upgrade to the indoor court at Narre Narre (Oak Park) Stadium. A new subfloor was built to resolve longstanding moisture and structural issues, followed by a high-quality sports surface.

The new floor features line markings for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball — making the stadium more versatile than ever for the community groups and clubs that rely on it.

The stadium was handed back to local clubs at the end of February 2026. This is part of Merri-bek City Council's largest-ever capital works program.
